This would mean that Ansley Hall and Attleborough were joint leaders of the league. The match on 12th September between these two teams could have been a play off which would mean that Ansley Hall would be champions. A picture printed in the Nuneaton Observer 18-5-1951 shows the Ansley Hall team of 1903 with the Nuneaton and District League Trophy, which seems to confirm that they were Champions.

Nuneaton Chronicle 22-5-1903

Ansley Hall went over and played Foleshill St. Paul’s. The home team cut up badly before the deliveries of Mills and Jones. The effort took the form of 30, not one Foleshill player touching double figures. Small as was the Foleshill score, it proved sufficient for victory, Ansley going down for 25. Fine bowling by Mold (seven wickets) backed up by smart fielding and clever wicket keeping (on sic extra), brought about this surprising result. The hero of the afternoon was Mills, of Ansley, who took six wickets and made nine runs not out.
